My name is Karri L. Whitefish Bodoh. I am a Traditional Native American who lives by the old ways of my ancestors. With this way of life, so all of my dogs live by the old ways. Respect to my poodles as precious free spirits that are a gift to me.
Having my own bloodline and kennel of this wonderful breed has been a dream of mine since my first poodle, a miniature poodle when I was young girl. This love affair has been in my heart for over 35 years now and is finally getting realized.
I have very strict ethical and moral codes about what a good breeder is. To me, a good breeder is someone that enhances the breed, always going forward, never backward. Forever chasing the inherent health issues and banishing them from your bloodline if possible.
Moondance Standard Poodles strives with great diligence and enthusiasm to achieve the goal of perfection. Perfection in Health, Personality, Intelligence and Socialization. Color is not an option in this quest. Perfection is a hard path to follow and is never really achieved, but to set perfection as a goal makes a breeder all the more focused and ever vigilant.
We here at Moondance take great pride in our standard poodles and the very closely watched genetic bloodlines.
All of our dogs live in the house with us and sleep in our bedrooms, never in kennels. They are all socialized at every opportunity and in every dog friendly event that comes up.
We do not always have puppies on hand to adopt out. But presently we are expecting an exceptional litter in June 2007.
Breeding to Moondance is a very serious and careful selection of Sire and Dam after total and complete testing and much discussion of what is best for the breed. Enhancement is the keystone to Moondance. Enhancement in Health, Temperament, Personality, Social and Intelligent Growth. We all here strive diligently to breed the best of the best, the most wonderful, loving and gentlest Standard Poodles in the world.
