Beginning in my childhood, dogs have been an important part of my life. Since 1971 I, together with my husband Steve, have been involved in purebred dogs, attending dog shows and participating in the many related activities that go with the sport. We have owned or bred 35 Champion Great Pyrenees which include two National Specialty Best of Breed winners, BIS, Working Group awards and Hall of Fame titles. Our breeding program has been a planned and limited program, with just 14 litters.
Over the years other dog activities have included a variety of national and local dog club positions and responsibilities, plus various Humane Society endeavors. In 1979 I designed and created the "World of Dogs", a large scale public education event, for the Wisconsin State Fair. I produced and managed the "World of Dogs" for the Fair for 20 years, during which time the event was featured in the AKC GAZETTE, DOG NEWS, DOG WORLD and THE DOG.
Beginning in 1970 I enjoyed a career in art as a middle school art teacher. When computers made their way into the art world, I discovered web design and the fascinating & powerful world wide web. Since then I have designed a variety of web sites including small business, wedding and kennel sites.
PoodleBreeders has been a wonderful opportunity for me to combine many of the passions in my life. . . dogs, art, photography, and life on the web.
